Somerville Police are attempting to locate and identify the subject depicted in the attached composite sketch.  On Saturday evening, October 20, at about 11:00 p.m. a 34 year old female reported that she was walking home on Franklin Street when she noticed the suspect who was crouched down near the sidewalk.  She passed him and the suspect began to follow her as she continued to walk up Franklin Street toward Pearl Street.  The suspect yelled an obscenity, calling to her in Spanish to stop/wait.  She continued to walk faster and then saw the suspect pull a knife out of his pocket as he began to chase after her.  The victim began running and screaming to call police as she ran up Franklin Street to Pearl Street.  As she ran into the intersection, she was nearly struck by two passing cars.  When she realized that the suspect had stopped chasing her, she called 911.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, possibly Guatemalan, in his late 20s, about 5’ 9” with a stocky build.  At the time of the incident the suspect was wearing an orange polo shirt and dark jeans.  Victim stated that the suspect has either a missing or gold tooth.

Somerville Police have increased patrols in this neighborhood as the investigation continues.  Anyone with information about this incident or the identity of this suspect is urged to contact Somerville Police at 617 625-1212.

Werter. Is that Polish, German? Sure does not sound Native American my fellow immigrant.

  3. E6 says:

MEME: I totally agree with you….Creeps are creeps, and they come from all walks of life.

  4. Wen says:

So true Meme and E6!! Illegal or not, doesn’t make a difference.

  5. Conrad Steele says:

Illegal immigrant is definitely worse, in my opinion. They are breaking the law twice… Now, I don’t know if this guy is an illegal, but for sure he is a creep!

  6. Cheryl E says:

Believe me they do NOT have to be illegal to be creeps! This article brought back memories of when I was attacked by a knife wielding American, well dressed, English speaking white boy at 11 AM on a Sunday in the Market Basket parking lot. You never know by looking at them what they are capable of! So BEWARE of even the best dressed, clean cut looking people. Hope they catch this creep that terrorized this poor girl, she will have nightmares for the rest of her life, as I have since my attack.

That’s right, but we have enough P’s of S that were born here, without some other countries P’s of S sneaking in. If that’s the case here.

  8. Ray Spitzer says:

That Gilberto Villa guy in the NYC news recently looks pretty creepy too! Google him, if you don’t know what I’m talking about!

  9. Harry says:

Keep welcoming the illegals, folks, and this is what you get.
