The Annual SHS Scholarship Foundation fundraiser was held Friday, May 18, at the Somerville High Cafe. About 60 people attended and approximately 235 tickets for the grand prize of $10K were sold.  After eliminating all excess tickets down to the last 10 ticket holders, they were given a choice to split or go to the end. All ten ticket holders chose to split the grand prize, each being awarded one thousand dollars. A fun night was had by all and lots of door prizes were given out as well. The drawing of the numbers was done by Gene Brune.

The foundation is also raising funds by way of selling bricks. Through the “Engraved Brick Campaign” you can help with the scholarships each year given out by purchasing a brick with your name on it including three lines for only $125. For more information go to www.somerville.k12.ma.us/scholarshipbrick or send a donation for a brick directly to Scholarship Foundation – Attn: Engraved Brick Camgaign, PO Box 440275, Somerville, MA 02144. It’s a great way to donate and get your name on a brick at the high school.
