Drug-unit investigators busted an East Boston man with two ounces of cocaine last week, calling him the “principal supplier” in an East Somerville drug ring.

Investigators developed information that a Hispanic man believed to be of Colombian descent driving a white Mercury would arrive on Glen Street on Feb. 22, police said.

Nicholas Suarez, 52, was stopped by investigators as he reached Glen Street. Police said Suarez reached into the front pocket of his hooded sweatshirt. In Suarez’ shirt and in his car, police allegedly recovered 57 grams of cocaine.

Suarez was arrested and  charged with trafficking in cocaine and drug violation near a school or park.
