Mayor Katjana Ballantyne and the City of Somerville Housing Division are pleased to announce 11 income-restricted condominiums for sale to eligible, first-time homebuyer households through the city’s Inclusionary Housing Program. Six units are available to households making at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI), and five are available to households making between 81% and 110% AMI.  


About 60 Cross Street East: Nine income-restricted units are available at 60 Cross Condominiums, including two studios, four 1-bedroom units, two 2-bedroom units, and one 3-bedroom unit. This building is a new residential development in East Somerville with 75 total units and a parking garage. The building is within walking distance of Winter Hill, Assembly Row, and Sullivan Square. All units come with a deeded parking space, which is included in the sales price. All residents will have access to a community park at the front of the building, a shared second-floor green space courtyard, and a community room with kitchen and lounge. Units feature oak laminate floors, quartz kitchen countertops, high ceilings, oversized windows, modern hanging lights over kitchen island, LG range and dishwasher, and LG ThinQ refrigerator. These units will be ready for occupancy upon closing, which is anticipated for Fall/Winter 2022.  

About 109 Prospect Street: Two income-restricted 2-bedroom units are available at 109 Prospect Street Condominiums, a new residential development in the Union Square/Inman Square neighborhood with 15 total units and a parking garage. The building is within walking distance to the new Green Line station at Union Square. The affordable units include an exclusive use right to one designated parking space per unit, which is included in the sales price. All residents have access to a shared rooftop deck with greenery. Units feature wood laminate floors, high ceilings, central heat and AC, modern hanging lighting over kitchen island, Bosch appliances, and a private balcony. These units will be ready for occupancy upon closing, which is anticipated for Fall/Winter 2022.

Applications must be submitted by Monday, August 1, at 2:00 p.m. Completed applications can be emailed to inclusionary@somervillema.gov, mailed or hand-delivered to the Inclusionary Housing Program (Housing Division) at 50 Evergreen Avenue, Somerville, MA 02145 (must be received by this date, not postmarked), or faxed to the Inclusionary Housing Program at 617-591-3235.
