Somerville High School and East Somerville Community School students are exhibiting their artwork in the next generation of art installations using QR codes in a local exhibit with the Somerville Museum.

The AR Art Gallery exhibit, Somernova, involves the use of QR codes displayed at several locations across the City of Somerville where patrons can scan the QR code on exhibit to access the virtual gallery, including three frames at the Somerville Museum showcasing students’ work. Alison Drasner, Asst. Director at the Somerville Museum, curated and organized the student artwork exhibit, working with designer Mieko Murao who created the AR Gallery and with the support of SPS Art Teachers Jessica Howard (SHS) and Emma Alcott (ESCS), to include the students’ artwork.
